Nowadays the word “nationwide reading” is popular among us. Many activities about reading were hold to encourage people to read more. Reading is really important good for us.

First, reading can make us know what happened in the history. Because the history is recorded in the books, if we read books, we can not only know what happened in the history but also we can learn something from the great man such as President Mao.

Second, reading can make us knowledgeable. By reading, I know the culture of the foreign countries. For example, in England people always keep quiet while eating in the restaurant and that is quite different from China.

Third, reading can make us learn many skills. By reading books, I to make delicious food. I learn to how to improve my English and so on.
